Dean Cortez Vol 1 Ambient Bass Ambient
and FX Bass loops ranging from 60-140 bpm in a range of keys. There are lots
of “synth pad” sounding tones but played on the bass by journeyman bass player
Dean Cortez through several different TC Electronics rack units. The G-Force,
M2000, Fireworx, and Finalizer were utilized in combinations to get some of
these more exotic tones. Lots of the material is very suitable for evocative
film music, and somewhat similar to some of Pink Floyd’s moods. These are
rockish, funky, and jazzy flavored ambient bass lines, slides, harmonics, and a
section of wailin’ plucked hi notes, all played with the effects on during the
sessions rather than added after, to allow Dean to use the feel of the FX while
playing.
Dean Cortez Vol 2 Electric Bass Electric
Bass loops ranging from 70-135 bpm in a range of keys. There are a wide
variety of playing styles and techniques on this disc including lots of funky,
jazzy, and rock bass lines, bass chords and harmonies, harmonics, bass slides,
ambient chords and ambient volume FX. All played by journeyman bass player Dean
Cortez.
Dean Cortez Vol 3 Slap Bass Slap
bass and ambient slap bass loops played by journeyman bass player Dean Cortez.
Tempos range from 60-144 bpm and include a wide range of keys. These are super
funky with a bit of rock and jazzy flavors. One folder is ambient (with FX) and
one folder is without FX. The files that have FX were played with the FX on
while playing and not added after to allow Dean to use the feel of the FX while
playing. Each lick is unique. There is no duplication of one file with and one
without FX.
Dean Cortez Volumes 1-3 All
